It doesn't happen very often but even if it only happens once or twice a year it's worth having a big horn that doesn't cost that much on your plane to warn people as you're about to crash land that you're there because for some reason sometimes these people don't hear the plane, are there because the plane is virtually silent if the engine is gone out or they might be distracted or have headphones on. happened on a beach here in the palos Verdes a few years ago as well. they need some kind of noise maker for when they are crash landing .
